Sensei Cheyne Phillips took a handful of students to the AMA Charity competition held in Bradford. All of the money raised went to cancer research, fun raising included, the events, bed of nails, and general donations. The squad as a whole did really well gaining. 3 golds, 5 silvers and 2 bronzes. Sensei Cheyne Phillips gained 1 Gold in team kumite, 1 Silver in kata and 1 bronze in his individual kumite. Samantha powell got 1 Gold in team kumite, 1 gold in individual kumite, and 1 Bronze in kata. Steven Parker brought back 2 silvers in kata and kumite. Thomas Mears who is new to competitions gained himself 1 silver in his own weight kumite and 1 silver in open weight fighting. Unfortunally Junior Sensei Grant Smith could not attend, due to fracturing his knee and his ankle just the day before.Well done guys you all did really well.
